The Full Report

I invite you to read my complete thesis. Please keep in mind that this report was written in a format that was specified by my graduate school. It was written for an academic audience, and it assumes that the reader may or may not be familiar with basic concepts of gender diversity. The language is imperfect, and some of the language I use in the report is the language of my field: social work. If you are not familiar with the format of these types of reports, I would recommend referring to the table of contents. The Literature Review will tell you about related research, the Results section will tell you about basic findings and statistics, and the Discussion includes my thoughts on what this research means in the bigger picture. If you would like to cite this paper and have questions about that, please email me.

Feedback

ACKNOWLEDGMENT: Many people who emailed me expressed gratitude for the acknowledgment of their experiences. This made me wonder how we can all better acknowledge one another for surviving difficult times.

RACE: In people’s responses to the question of race, it was clear that for a number of participants Jewish is their preferred racial identity.

SEXUAL ORIENTATION: I learned that some people would have liked to select more than one sexual orientation. For people who selected “other,” pansexual was the most commonly specified “other” sexual orientation.

WORDING: I realize that the wording on some of the questions was confusing, and I appreciate everyone doing the best they could to answer questions.
